At a wedding earlier this year, Nick ran into an old friend who invited him to an Alpha. When COVID hit and Nick found out the church was going to move their Alpha online, he decided to continue with the course and discovered that being in the comfort of his own home made it easier for him to open up and share.
When they reached the talks on the Holy Spirit, Nick was overwhelmed by the love of God and surrendered his life to Jesus. Nick experienced the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in his life and went from being a guest at Alpha online to helping host a small group at the next one!
“We got to the message about the Holy Spirit and after the conversation was done I said something along the lines of, ‘Holy Spirit, are you there?’ And I broke down for what felt like hours. And I just apologized for running away, and everything I had done over the years.“
– Nick, Alpha Online Guest

Please consider giving this Christmas as we continue to serve and equip the church to reach more people with a message of hope through Alpha.

Our desire was to respond to the needs of the church as quickly as possible and so on March 26th, 13 days after in-person gatherings came to a grinding halt, we started training churches to run Alpha online. At that first webinar, we had over 480 leaders attend and since that time 4000 leaders have participated in our webinars leading to over 2000 Alphas online!
A group of students across different churches in Calgary, AB joined together to run Alpha online for their friends. The online space helped create community for youth who were feeling isolated and alone, and gave them a chance to ask questions about life, faith and God.
