On March 13th, as the world experienced a pandemic lockdown, churches across the country immediately began asking us, “How do we take our Alpha that’s been running in person and make it work online?” On March 26th, 13 days after in-person gatherings came to a grinding halt, we started training churches to run Alpha online.
At that first webinar, we had over 480 leaders attend and since that time 4000 leaders have participated in our webinars leading to over 2000 Alphas online!
These are exciting days and we believe there is an opportunity like never before to share the hope of the gospel in every corner of our nation. Alpha has been blessed to double all general donations during the Christmas season with a $250,000 matching gift. That means your donation will go twice as far in helping ensure Alpha resources are free and accessible to churches and communities across the country!
Please consider giving this Christmas as we continue to serve and equip the church to reach more people with a message of hope through Alpha.
“I’m grateful to the people that give to Alpha, because without your generosity, I would not be sitting here. I would not be tumor-free. I would not be having a relationship with God. I would not be a forgiving person. I’m so grateful that I have all of this peace in my heart and in my life now that I never had before ever in my life.”

Nick grew up in the church but rejected his faith and walked away from Jesus in his late teens. He was invited to an Alpha online and Jesus radically transformed his life.
Our desire was to respond to the needs of the church as quickly as possible and so on March 26th, 13 days after in-person gatherings came to a grinding halt, we started training churches to run Alpha online. At that first webinar, we had over 480 leaders attend and since that time 4000 leaders have participated in our webinars leading to over 1900 Alphas online!
A group of students across different churches in Calgary, AB joined together to run Alpha online for their friends. The online space helped create community for youth who were feeling isolated and alone, and gave them a chance to ask questions about life, faith and God.
